Serving Students with Disabilities
Communication Access for Deaf/Hard of Hearing Students

UC Davis has many services available for deaf and hard of hearing students. The Communication Services Guide describes those services and the procedures for requesting and using them. There are also many services around campus designed to serve the deaf and hard of hearing.

TTY Pay Phones
There are fifteen pay-phone TTYs at the following locations around campus:

Buehler Alumni Center (inside by elevator)
Briggs Hall (inside east entrance)
Cowell Student Health Center (by pharmacy)
Freeborn Hall (outside/kitchen entrance)
King Hall (near Moot Court Room)
Law Bookstore (South Silo)
Medical Science Building (outside around corner from Café)
Memorial Union (outside by ATM's)
Meyer Hall (by room 1138)
Mrak Hall (inside first floor)
Main Gate/North Entrance (outside)
Rec Hall (Section 2B entrance)
Shields Library (outside bus stop)
Sproul Hall (inside Tower entrance)
Vet Med/Small Animals (main lobby)

Infrared Assistive Listening Devices
UC Davis is equipping its larger classrooms with permanent infrared assistive listening devices. Students who have classes or will be attending events in these classrooms can check out an infrared receiver from the SDC on a quarterly basis. Contact Caryn Stromberg for more information. The following classrooms currently have infrared systems installed:
