Overview
The Captioned Audio-Visual Materials and Captioning of Course Materials accommodations apply to any media that is presented, posted, and/or required to be viewed in a course. Students with media captioning accommodations must have equal access to all media-related materials in a course.
Requesting Media Captioning for Enrolled Courses
Each quarter, you must request your Captioned Audio-Visual Materials and/or Captioning of Course Materials accommodations for each course through My SDC Online. It is advised to request services as soon as you are registered, so instructors have time to make any necessary Media Captioning requests through the Student Disability Center.
Scheduling Logistics
When adding, changing, or dropping classes, be sure to update your Media Captioning requests in My SDC Online, so that instructors are aware of your captioning accommodations.
